(de Magallanes)\u00a0 en el programa<em>\u00a0\u00abEl \u00faltimo tren a casa\u00bb\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0que produce el Colectivo Aczi\u00f3n Kultural\u00a0 y\u00a0 que conduce Pedro Guichapany en radio Presidente Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez presenta una edici\u00f3n dedicada al violinista franc\u00e9s de jazz contempor\u00e1neo\u00a0<strong>JEAN-LUC PONTY\u00a0<\/strong>con su presentaci\u00f3n en el Festival de Jazz de Montreal, Canad\u00e1.<br>Ponty estudi\u00f3 viol\u00edn profesional en el Conservatorio Nacional Superior de M\u00fasica de Paris y su inter\u00e9s hacia el jazz llega al escuchar a\u00a0<em>Miles Davis<\/em>\u00a0 y\u00a0\u00a0<em>John Coltrane.<\/em>En su trayectoria musical se cuenta su participaci\u00f3n con la\u00a0<em>\u00abMahavishnu Orchestra\u00bb<\/em>, agrupaci\u00f3n del guitarrista John McLaughlin\u00a0 y tambi\u00e9n con el grupo de\u00a0<em>\u00abFrank Zappa\u00bb<\/em>.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A fines de la d\u00e9cada de los 60 comenz\u00f3 a utilizar el\u00a0<em>\u00abViolectra\u00bb<\/em>, un viol\u00edn el\u00e9ctrico modificado de cuatro cuerdas con una octava m\u00e1s baja.\u00a0 Luego ocupar\u00eda otra versi\u00f3n del\u00a0<em>\u00abViolectra\u00bb\u00a0<\/em>de seis cuerdas.<br>En su discograf\u00eda destacan grandes \u00e1lbumes como\u00a0<em>\u00abAurora\u00bb, \u00abImaginary Voyage\u00bb, \u00abCosmic Messenger\u00bb, \u00abMystical Adventures\u00bb, \u00abOpen Mind\u00bb, \u00abFables\u00bb, \u00abThe Gift of time\u00bb, \u00abStorytelling<\/em>\u00ab, entre otros.
